Job Description for GCC (Global Capability Center) Captive Consulting and Advisory Leader

Role Overview

The GCC Captive Consulting and Advisory Leader is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of captive operations within a global capability center. This leader will work closely with senior stakeholders to establish best practices, optimize operational efficiencies, and ensure alignment with the organization's overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the captive consulting and advisory function.
  • Lead the design and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the performance and value of captive operations.
  • Collaborate with global and regional leaders to ensure alignment of captive strategies with overall business objectives.

2. Methodology and Process Development

  • Establish and refine methodologies for building and managing captive operations.
  • Create detailed process flows, playbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide the setup and management of captive centers.
  • Develop and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) that define the structure, governance, and operational standards for captive centers.

3. Advisory and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide expert consulting and advisory services to senior management and clients on captive operations.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the captive operations strategy meets those needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

4. Performance Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Implement robust performance management systems to monitor the effectiveness of captive operations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regularly review and update methodologies, process flows, and SOPs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

5. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of consulting and advisory professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to achieve their objectives and deliver high-quality services.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in consulting, advisory, or a similar role within a Global Capability Center or related environment.
  • Expertise: Proven expertise in building captive operations methodologies, writing process flows, playbooks, SOPs, and Target Operating Models.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Management, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
