Position: Relationship Manager / Financial Services Consultant (Banca Channel)
Core Objective: To drive life insurance sales by building relationships with bank staff and converting bank customers into insurance policyholders.
Reporting to: Sales Manager or Area Manager.
The role is broadly divided into Sales, Relationship Management, and Compliance:
Lobby Management: Engaging with walk-in customers at the bank branch, identifying their financial needs, and pitching suitable insurance products.
Lead Conversion: Following up on leads generated by bank staff (Tellers, Branch Managers, etc.) and converting them into sales.
Partner Engagement: Training bank employees on new product launches, insurance concepts, and helping them identify potential prospects within their portfolios.
Joint Calls: Going on field visits or client meetings along with bank officials to close high-value deals.
After-Sales Service: Handling customer queries, helping with the documentation process, and ensuring smooth policy issuance and renewals.
Target Achievement: Meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the company.
Education: Graduate in any stream (MBA is often preferred for faster growth).
Experience: 1-4 years experienced pros typically come from BFSI or sales backgrounds.
Age Limit: Usually between 22 to 30 years.
Key Skills:
Communication: Fluency in English and the local language.
Sales Acumen: Ability to handle rejections and close deals.
Relationship Building: Ability to influence and work alongside bank staff who aren't your direct reports.
Mobility: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory/branches.
