Job Description
Manager - Electrical Maintenance
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical (full time course)
Expected Work Experience:
At least 12-18 years total experience including 5-7 years in Power Plant having capacity of more than 400 MW
Description of Job:
Lead and provide technical direction to the team and responsible for efficient and reliable maintenance of Electrical systems.
Provide technical direction to trade/craft and engineers.
Exposure of overhaul and general maintenance of equipments / sub system of power plants including Generator, UAT / ST and Generator transformer, Plant Aux equipment like Motors, Breakers, Modules, Switch gears, Relays Interlock and protection system, Switchyard equipment
Trouble shooting, route cause analysis and rectification, Engineering studies
To carry out predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various equipment of thermal power plant to improve equipment availability and reliability.
To plan & execute annual shutdown maintenance activities within the schedule
Spare parts management, material approvals. Inventory management, Tender preparations, Technical evaluations, Review of Vendor drawings, document and engineering reports.
To track breakdowns & rectifying it for the smooth running of equipment using latest maintenance techniques.
Ability to review newer technologies and adopt them. Planning & executing the jobs of capital expenditure nature.
Maintained safe work environment by following standard procedures, complying with legal regulations.
Analyzing defect and corrective actions of electrical systems/ sub-systems & emergencies of a Power Plant equipment.
Planning Capital Expenditure and monitoring progress of budgeted jobs, for non-recurring, capital and repairs & maintenance expenditure.
Implementation of best practices in maintenance
Understanding of organization goals and ability to achieve the same through better coordination with other sections / departments of company.
Liaising with various statutory/ legal bodies viz. electrical inspector etc, Liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)
Maintaining Documentation and records, Communication and presentation skills, Negotiation skills
Training & development of subordinates. Ability to set goals for subordinates. Must have attended training for Advance maintenance practices
Knowledge of Energy Management system will be an added advantage
Knowledge of Energy efficient operation and Maintenance practices
