Job Description
To monitor, and enforces high-level environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols, specifically focusing on TBM tunnel construction, geotechnical hazards, confined spaces, and fire safety. They implement "zero tolerance" safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO standards to prevent construction incidents.
Role & responsibilities
Tunnel and Underground Safety: Managing hazards related to Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), NATM methods, falls of earth/rock, and inrush of water or gas.
-Conducting daily inspections and monthly safety audits of construction equipment and high-risk activities.
- Implementing Project Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) plans, conducting accident investigations, and leading emergency preparedness.
- Evaluate equipment, materials, and processes to evaluate risk and suggest improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of safety training, inspections, and injury reports
- Lead investigations into workplace injuries, accidents, or "near-misses," identify root causes, and prepare reports for management.
Hazard Control: Ensuring proper ventilation and managing confined space entry.
-Leading EHS Teams towards positive safety culture and coordinating safety procedures with contractors and clients.
Preferred candidate profile
Required Exp-10 to 15 years (Min 4 years in underground metro project experience)
Qualification- BE / B. Tech- Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
Location- Chennai and Indore- (CMRL) and Indore Metro
Project- Underground Metro
Note- Proven Experience in underground metro/ Underground Tunneling construction is mandatory
