Job Description
IMMEDIATE OPENINGS
Role: SAP ABAP Consultant
Location: Bangalore
Work Mode: Hybrid
Shift: 2pm to 11pm
JD:
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Design and develop complex RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow) objects.
- S/4HANA Optimization: Develop and optimize code for the HANA database using CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL.
- Technical Design: Prepare detailed Technical Specification Documents (TSD) and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Integration: Build and support integrations using ALE/IDoc, BAPIs, RFCs, and OData services for Fiori applications.
- Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing ABAP programs using tools like SAT, ST05, and Code Inspector.
- Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 3 support for complex production issues, debugging across standard and custom codebases.
Technical Skills
- ABAP: Dictionary objects, Classical/ALV Reports, Module Pool, BDC, and OO-ABAP (Object Oriented).
- Enhancements: BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework (Explicit/Implicit).
- S/4HANA TechCore Data Services (CDS), AMDP, New Open SQL, and HANA-specific optimization.
- Forms: Adobe Forms (SFP), Smartforms, and SAPscripts.
- Integration: OData (Gateway), Web Services, Proxy, and ALE/IDoc configuration
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Project History: At least one full life-cycle S/4HANA implementation or a significant Greenfield/Brownfield migration project.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field.
- Certifications: SAP Certified Development Specialist (ABAP for SAP HANA) is highly preferred.
Behavioural Competencies
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical puzzles.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with functional teams (SD, MM, FI, PP) and end-users.
- Agility: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Mentorship: Ability to guide junior developers and provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
