Job Description
Description:OneAPI - We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, distributed, and performant systems. The ideal candidate will provide strong technical leadership, drive engineering excellence, and mentor teams while working hands-on across backend technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
Required Technical Skills
Backend Development
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Java (Spring Boot, Microservices architecture)
- GoLang (preferred)
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design & event-driven architectures
- System Design & Architecture
Strong knowledge of:
- Distributed system principles
- Design patterns
- Scalability & fault tolerance
- Performance optimization
- Caching strategies
- Database design (SQL & NoSQL)
- Cloud & DevOps
Experience with AWS Cloud
EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, IAM, etc.
Strong knowledge of:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
Must have
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent stakeholder communication
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution mindset
Job Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end system design and architecture for large-scale distributed applications
Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across multiple teams
Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems
Define and enforce best practices for system design, API design, and coding standards
Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams
Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Cloud teams for seamless delivery
Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance optimization
Mentor senior engineers and foster technical excellence
