Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Dev-ops Automation Engineer to support and enhance our Windows infrastructure and automation ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows scripting, configuration management, and modern DevOps practices.
This role involves, engineering automated solutions, troubleshooting critical issues, supporting peer teams, contributing to operational stability and efficiency ensuring platform stability and security.
The role requires developing automation solutions by building and enhancing Chef cookbook/recipes, Ansible playbooks, developing Infrastructure as a code, InSpec compliance profiles tailored to platform standards, configurations, securities and operational changes. This role demands strong scripting capabilities, deep knowledge of Windows PowerShell scripting, and hands-on experience with chef automation.
Required Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
Expert-level proficiency in Windows PowerShell scripting and Chef automation
Strong hands-on experience with Chef/Ansible, Chef Automate, writing cookbooks and recipes, and related automation components
Strong understanding of Ruby scripting (particularly in the context of Chef)
Strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, version control, and GitHub Actions for automation pipelines
Strong skills in managing source code, github repositories, and CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitHub Actions
Experience creating and enhancing InSpec profiles for compliance and operational validation
Experience with Ansible workflow, playbooks and creating ansible solutions
Experience in engineering automation solutions aligned with SME-driven requirements and platform standards
Familiarity with ITIL processes and hands-on experience performing change activities in production environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to leverage AI tools to support code generation, automation, and system analysis
Expertise in documentation for scripts, automation frameworks, and operational procedures
Additional skillset
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including compute, automation, networking, and monitoring services.
Working knowledge of VMware for basic operational tasks.
Required AI Skills:
- All contractor resources are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools as part of their day-to-day responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to:
-Consistent Use: Maintain a minimum of 90% weekly usage of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other GenAI platforms approved by the enterprise.
-Applied Productivity: Leverage AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows.
-Continuous Learning: Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and features, and apply them to improve delivery quality and velocity.
