One of our clients, a reputed healthcare MNC, is looking out for a microbiologist for their research center based in Chennai. Responsibilities include:
1. undertaking laboratory analysis and monitoring of microbial cultures, samples and new drugs using specialist computer software and a range of identification methods and clinical trials.
2. planning and carrying out trials
3. tracking environmental microorganism development
4. growing microbe cultures
5. developing new pharmaceutical products, vaccines, medicines and compounds such as antiseptics
6. collecting samples from a variety of locations
7. recording, analysing and interpreting data
8. writing research papers, reports and reviews
9. keeping up to date with scientific and research developments
10. ensuring that data is recorded accurately in accordance to guidelines
11. observing high health and safety standards
12. inspecting food and drink manufacturing processes to check for possible contamination
13. managing laboratories
