Research Associate / Research Scientist - (pd Lab - Synthesis / Crd) @ Alembic

Job Description

We are looking for a Research Associate / Research Scientist for our Process Development Lab. The role involves carrying out organic synthesis experiments, analyzing reactions, documenting results, and supporting scaleup activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct organic synthesis experiments in the laboratory
• Perform literature surveys for reaction methods and chemistry background
• Design and carry out experiments based on project requirements
• Monitor reactions using TLC, HPLC, GC and interpret results
• Document all experiments and analytical data in Lab Notebooks
• Support process scale-up in kilo lab or plant
• Follow GLP, safety rules, and maintain a clean lab environment
• Use basic computer tools for data entry and report preparation

Preferred Candidate Profile

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
• 1 to 5 years of experience in R&D / Synthesis / CRD / Process Development
• Basic understanding of organic chemistry concepts
• Hands-on experience in conducting lab experiments
• Working knowledge of TLC, HPLC, GC
• Exposure to scale-up activities (kilo lab or plant)
• Knowledge of GLP, safety practices, and lab documentation
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, data entry)
