Role - GCP Cloud Architect Cloud Migration

Experience - 10 to 15 yrs

Location - Kolkata

Role Summary: Lead the assessment, design, and execution of enterprise application and infrastructure migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Assess on-prem/private cloud and legacy environments and define GCP migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor)

Design target GCP architectures using VPC, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, and IAM

Lead migration execution using tools like Migrate to Virtual Machines and Database Migration Service

Ensure security, networking, availability, and performance best practices

Collaborate with app, infra, and DevOps teams to enable smooth cutovers and modernization Skills & Experience:

812 years overall IT experience 46 years in GCP architecture 35 years in cloud migration (on-prem/private cloud/public cloud GCP) Strong hands-on experience with GCP services and cloud networking Experience in large-scale cloud migration programs Knowledge of landing zones, governance, security, and cost optimization Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, and hybrid connectivity Strong experience with networking, security, landing zones, and hybrid setups
