Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITOM Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and integrations, along with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
- Configure and maintain MID Servers, ensuring proper communication between ServiceNow and infrastructure environments.
- Develop and customize Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors.
- Implement and enhance Service Mapping for business-critical services.
- Configure Event Management including alert rules, correlation, and integrations with monitoring tools.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and middleware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform CMDB health improvements, data normalization, and reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform and integration issues.
- Follow best practices for ServiceNow development, governance, and security.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- CMDB
- Experience with MID Server setup and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (Servers, Network, Cloud AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
- Experience in CMDB governance, data modeling, and reconciliation rules.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools integration (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.).
- Good understanding of ITIL processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certifications:
- CSA (Certified System Administrator) Mandatory/Preferred
- CIS-ITOM (Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM) Highly preferred
- Experience with Cloud Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Exposure to Automation/Orchestration workflows.
- Experience in DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with AIOps / Predictive Intelligence
