Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Datacentre Operations Lead to lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions across enterprise infrastructure environments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in virtualization, networking, automation, and datacenter operations, along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead datacentre operations across virtualized and physical environments
• Design and implement automation solutions for infrastructure management
• Manage and optimize VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization
• Implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA/DRS) strategies
• Manage patching, upgrades, and compliance using vLCM
• Work on network architecture (LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewalls, SD-WAN)
• Implement observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk
• Lead infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and RCA
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams
• Ensure ITSM best practices using tools like ServiceNow / Jira / Remedy

Technical Skills Required:

Virtualization:

• VMware vSphere Suite (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN)
• VMware NSX (SDN, micro-segmentation)
• VMware vRealize Suite (vROps, vRA, Log Insight)

Automation & Scripting:

• PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Ansible / Terraform / Puppet

Networking:

• LAN/WAN, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancers, SD-WAN
• Tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark

Monitoring & Observability:

• Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Kentik

Storage & Backup:

• SAN/NAS
• Veeam, Commvault

ITSM:

• ServiceNow / BMC Remedy / Jira Service Management

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science / Engineering
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in VMware & patch management
• Experience in infrastructure automation
• Good exposure to capacity planning & hardware lifecycle management
• Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks
