Job Description
Role Overview: You will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our critical payment switching applications and services. Collaborating closely with developers, business teams, and customers across various geographies, you will work on complex projects, BAU, and production support within a DevOps structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support switching applications.
- Perform core technical tasks including coding, testing, and troubleshooting, while guiding peer developers.
- Interface with business and technology partners to define technical specifications, explore design alternatives, and resolve issues.
- Ensure adherence to established development standards and methodologies, consulting with stakeholders on technology solutions.
- Support existing business systems applications, lead technical aspects of projects, assign resources, and delegate tasks to meet project deliverables.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT experience, primarily in financial application development for payment switches and HP Nonstop Tandem.
- 2+ years of experience in working on Connex Switching application
- Prior application developing experience in enhancing ATM and POS terminal handlers preferred
- Proficiency in programming languages such as TAL/pTAL, TACL, COBOL, SCOBOL, C/C++.
- Experience with Enscribe and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Pathway, FUP, SCUP, INSPECT, DDL, Enform, Xpress, Relate, Batchcom, CED, Connex Utilities.
- Strong unit testing experience and knowledge of testing frameworks, tools, and simulators like FINSIM.
- Experience with source code version control tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of HSM and other security modules within switching applications.
- Knowledge of EFT transaction processing fundamentals, message types, and standards like ISO8583, AS2805.
- Experience with scheme compliances such as VISA, MASTERCARD, EFTPOS.
