Role Description:
The Content Management Specialist is a senior individual contributor role responsible for strategic and operational ownership of digital content delivery across platforms, campaigns, or business segments. The role focuses on complex delivery oversight, stakeholder partnership, governance, and continuous improvement, without any direct people management responsibilities.
This position is suited for a seasoned content operations professional who brings deep subject-matter expertise, strong judgement, and the ability to independently drive outcomes in a high-volume, SLA-driven GBS environment. The role acts as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring quality, compliance, and scalability of content operations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Delivery & Ownership
- Own end-to-end content delivery for assigned platforms, campaigns, or portfolios, with accountability for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Review, validate, and approve complex or high-risk content prior to publishing, ensuring adherence to brand, legal, and governance standards.
- Manage prioritization of content requests in line with business criticality and agreed SLAs.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted service.
Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory
- Act as the primary senior point of contact for business stakeholders, marketing teams, and global partners.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into executable content solutions.
- Provide strategic input, recommendations, and insights to improve content effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Handle escalations independently and ensure timely resolution with clear communication.
Governance, Controls & Reporting
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, controls, risk frameworks, and audit requirements.
- Own and maintain documentation related to content processes, controls, and governance.
- Produce and present operational dashboards, insights, and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Support internal and external audits, risk reviews, and compliance activities.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation.
- Lead implementation of process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Apply data-driven analysis to improve turnaround time, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for content operations within the GBS model.
Collaboration & Knowledge Leadership (Non-People Manager)
- Provide functional guidance and best-practice inputs to junior team members and peers, without formal line management responsibility.
- Support onboarding, transitions, and knowledge transfer by contributing expertise and documentation.
- Influence outcomes through expertise, credibility, and collaboration rather than people management.
Qualification
Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in digital content management, digital marketing operations, or a similar role.
- Strong experience operating as a senior individual contributor in an SLA-driven or shared services / GBS environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex deliveries and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Experience supporting global stakeholders across multiple time zones.

- Solid understanding of CMS platforms; exposure to apps and digital signage is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of GBS / shared services operating models.
- Experience working with process controls, governance frameworks, reporting, and audits.
- Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and priorities competing demands.
