Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Breast cancer screening & mammography support:
Identify eligible women & conduct clinical breast examination (CBE) before mammography screening.
Coordinate with the radiologist for accurate interpretation of mammography images and identify suspected breast cancer cases.
Provide counselling and ensure timely referral and follow-up for suspected breast cancer patients.
Oral cancer screening & detection:
Conduct oral cavity examination and identify early signs of oral cancer.
Screen high-risk individuals such as tobacco users.
Refer suspected oral cancer cases to higher medical centers
General Health Check-up & Clinical Services
Conduct general health check-ups, consultation and treatment. including BP, sugar, HB & ECG.
Diagnose common illnesses and provide primary treatment.
Prescribe generic medicines as per patient condition.
Ensure availability and proper use of generic medicines.
Referral & Follow-up Management
Refer patients with abnormal sugar, HB, ECG, and other health issues. Ensure proper follow-up and treatment tracking.
Community Awareness & Health Education:
Lead & conduct and support awareness sessions on cancer prevention and health in schools, villages, and community centers.
Coordination with Government Health System:
Coordinate with PHC Medical Officers and District Health Department and work closely with ASHA, Anganwadi workers, and village authorities.
Patient Records, Reporting & MIS Management:
Guide and support to maintain patient records and screening data and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of patient data.
