Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide full general ledger maintenance, reconciliation support for all accounts in India including monthly intercompany reconciliations and support all related entities globally. Timely and accurate reporting, preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Full third party AR and AP responsibilities, including invoicing, payable, client and vendor management, follow up on collections and monthly reporting in accurate and timely manner.
  • Monthly cash flow analysis and reporting, bank reconciliations, payment processing, petty cash management & cash receipts, travel related foreign currency expense reports and reimbursement processing.
  • Accounting for company India payroll on a monthly basis , monthly payment of TDS tax, Professional tax, EPF, ESI and related quarterly and annual filing including TDS certificate, regulate employee IT and F&F settlement.
  • Work with external accountant for annual IT filing, reporting, statutory and tax audit preparation.
  • Prepare month-end closing entries and report monthly financial statements and analysis to the global leadership team.
  • Work closely with operational teams in India and Australia to ensure proper revenue recognition and tax treatment on intercompany transaction. Will this person be responsible for recognizing revenue in OpenAir
  • Prior experience with transfer pricing issues and establishment of such policies in Indian LLP
  • Knowledge in Indian GAAP, direct and indirect tax and equity accounts
  • Familiarity with Indian tax regulations and the accounting for those taxes.
  • Familiarity with shop & establishment regulation, bank requirements, legal and other statutory requirement for LLP firm
  • Possibly take on similar roles in managing finance for company in Singapore office

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Degree in finance/accounting, CA preferable
  • Self-starter; Can work independently
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with NetSuite/OpenAir
  • Prior experience as a bookkeeper or general ledger accountant managing Indian books and working in an international organization
  • Attention to detail and implement best practices
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
  • Consistently and reliably reports to work
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Experience in International Accounting firm is a plus
  • Willing to time shift hours to assist other company geographies
  • Having someone with experience in dealing with RBI and government agencies would be added advantage.
