Job Description
Roles and responsibilities
- Engineering graduate with 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or data science.
- Expert-level proficiency in data manipulation and querying, specifically using SQL (JOINS, Group By, Indexing, Stored Procedures) and advanced Excel (formulas and Pivot Tables).
- Logical thinking mindset with proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.); experience with Apps Script and Google Workspace is a strong advantage.
- Strong mathematical and statistical modeling skills with a focus on analytical problem-solving.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio) and the ability to interpret process diagrams in Figma.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a mandatory ability to translate complex data findings into presentable business insights.
- Knowledge in basic Machine Learning modeling and the use of Python libraries (e.g., NLP - BERT, pandas, numpy, etc), experience utilizing LLM APIs (ChatGPT/Gemini, etc), prompt engineering is plus or good to have.
The individual is expected to demonstrate:
- Strong end-to-end ownership of the analytics lifecycle, from data extraction and coding to testing and final insight delivery.
- Structured thinking with the ability to design analytical solutions and deliver results under pressure within tight timelines.
- Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills, demonstrate a risk-taking and hardworking attitude, have a skill development mindset, and be a quick learner
- Ability to handle pressure and deliver results in a stipulated time is required
- Strong listening skills to understand the business, along with excellent written and oral communication and presentation capabilities
- Agility and nimbleness to quickly grasp concepts, develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on business problems, and effectively map and execute data analysis tools and skills to solve those problems
- Ability to "connect the dots" from analytical outputs to provide actionable recommendations for process improvement is highly required.
- Readiness to work in US shift hours in work from office mode
Primary Responsibility and Key Tasks:
- Work closely with business, product, and operations stakeholders to understand analytical requirements.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL, Python, and Excel.
- Analyze unstructured text data like user feedback, chatbot transcripts, and survey responses.
- Apply text analytics and ML-based techniques (supervised and unsupervised) for insights.
- Design data science solutions and select SQL or Python strategies based on data volume, complexity, and use case.
- Design innovative workarounds and alternate analytical strategies when faced with tool, model, or dataset limitations.
- R ranslate complex analyses into clear stories and strategic recommendations for management, ensuring all methodologies and assumptions are transparently documented.R
