Job Summary:
We are hiring a dynamic and target-driven Academic Counselor to guide prospective students in selecting the right online undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The role focuses on student counseling, lead conversion, and achieving admission targets through effective communication and follow-ups.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound & outbound calls, emails, and WhatsApp queries
- Counsel students based on their career goals and academic background
- Convert leads into successful admissions
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets
- Maintain accurate lead data and updates in CRM
- Ensure timely follow-ups to maximize conversions
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth student onboarding
- Stay updated on program offerings, industry trends, and competitors
Key Requirements:
- Graduate in any discipline (Masters preferred)
- 1- 3 years of experience in Academic Counseling / Inside Sales (EdTech preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales, negotiation, and objection-handling skills
- Proven track record of achieving targets
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools & MS Office
Preferred Skills:
- Multilingual: Hindi & English (mandatory); regional languages a plus
- Understanding of online degree programs
- Strong convincing and counseling ability
- Passion for education and student success
