Job Description

Position Overview : The Assistant Manager Medical Coding will oversee and support the medical coding team with a focus on Multi Denials. This role ensures compliance with coding guidelines, accuracy in documentation, and timely submission of coded records to optimize revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities -

• Supervise and guide a team of medical coders specializing in Denial coding.
• Review and audit coded records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and billing teams to resolve documentation or coding discrepancies.
• Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to coding staff.
• Monitor coding productivity and quality metrics, ensuring departmental targets are met.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, payer requirements, and industry best practices in Denial coding.
• Assist in preparing reports for management on coding accuracy, compliance, and revenue impact.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
