Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber.
- Build and enhance BDD automation frameworks with Gherkin syntax.
- Execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and product teams to understand business requirements and convert them into test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing when required and ensure maximum test coverage.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Participate in sprint planning and Agile ceremonies.
- Identify, document, and track defects following the defined QA process.
- Analyze automation test failures and provide quick resolutions.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java (OOPs, collections, exceptions).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Expertise in Cucumber (BDD) and writing Gherkin test scenarios.
- Experience building automation frameworks (POM, BDD frameworks).
- Understanding of test automation principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins (optional but preferred).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in Agile teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Experience with REST API testing (Postman/RestAssured).
- Working experience with Maven/Gradle.
- Knowledge of cloud-based test platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT field.
