Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing and quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working on small to large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables through robust testing strategies, automation frameworks, and continuous integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
- contribute to quality engineering efforts across small to large-scale projects spanning multiple teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and adherence to company and industry standards.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identify, analyze, and document bugs and defects; work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Integrated automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and ensure high code coverage.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure application compatibility.
- Participate in Agile/Scaled Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with performance testing and monitoring tools to ensure application scalability and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and best testing practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in quality engineering for small to large-scale applications.
- Strong programming knowledge in Java with hands-on experience in:
- Selenium, JUnit, Rest Assured
- Appium, Protractor/Cucumber frameworks
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database validation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx, Fortify.
- Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tools.
- Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Performance & Monitoring
- Experience in performance testing using tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.
- Knowledge of performance profiling (Java JVM, databases).
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk is a plus.
Additional Competencies
- Strong understanding of cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies.
- Ability to achieve and maintain 80%+ code coverage using tools like Sonar, Clover.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong experience in Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments.
