Job Description
Cognizant is looking for an experienced Functional Tester with strong domain expertise in the Airlines industry, specifically in In-flight Catering systems. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in manual/functional testing along with a deep understanding of airline business processes.
Locations: Noida
Experience: 5-15 years
Notice Period: 0-60 days
Role: Functional Tester in Airlines Inflight Catering module
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end functional testing of airline applications, focusing on in-flight catering modules
- Understand business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases
- Execute test cases, identify defects, and track them through resolution
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Validate data integrity and system workflows across airline systems
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test execution phases
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 to 15 years of total IT experience in testing
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Airlines domain (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in In-flight Catering systems/processes
- Strong experience in Functional / Manual Testing
- Good understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle
- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
- Experience in API testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with airline clients or aviation IT systems
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
