Skill: MY SQL DBA with on prem (AWS or Azure is additional Advantage)

Location: Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad

Experience: 1.8 to 3 years L1 Support

Shift: 24/7 Rotational shift

MySQL OnPrem Support JD (L1 Support)

Role Overview

Responsible for supporting and administering MySQL databases hosted in onpremise data centre environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for MySQL databases in onprem DC setups
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch MySQL (5.x / 8.x)
• Manage high availability and replication (MasterSlave, Group Replication, Galera)
• Perform backup, restore, and DR readiness activities
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity
• Conduct performance tuning and query optimization
• Troubleshoot issues related to replication lag, storage growth, connectivity, and failures
• Implement and maintain database security controls
• Support incident, problem, and change management
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and documentation

Mandatory Skills

• Strong handson experience with MySQL OnPrem
• Linux/Unix OS administration basics
• Replication, HA, backup & recovery
• SQL tuning and performance analysis
• Monitoring & alerting tools
• Shell scripting basics
