Job Description

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Functional Tester with strong experience in the Airlines domain, specifically in Loyalty Programs and Booking systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing airline applications and a deep understanding of end-to-end passenger booking journeys and loyalty workflows.


Locations: Noida

Experience: 5-15 years

Notice Period: 0-60 days

Role: Functional Tester in Airlines Loyalty module


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional and end-to-end testing of airline applications, focusing on loyalty programs and booking modules
  • Understand business requirements related to reservations, ticketing, and loyalty systems (points accrual, redemption, tiers, etc.)
  • Design and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and test data
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using standard tools
  • Validate integrations across booking engines, payment gateways, and loyalty platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BA, Dev, and Product teams
  • Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and test cycles
  • Ensure quality assurance standards and best practices are followed

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 to 15 years of total IT experience in Testing
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Airlines domain (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in Functional / Manual Testing
  • Hands-on experience in Airline Booking systems (PNR creation, ticketing, cancellations, rebooking, etc.)
  • Experience with Loyalty Programs (points accrual, redemption, tier management, partner programs)
  • Good understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
  • Experience in API testing and integration testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is a plus
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
