Project Manager (BI & Data Engineering)
Location: Gurgaon / Delhi NCR
Experience: 5 years - 8 years
Qualifications: Education - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Certification: PMP or PRINCE2 mandatory; Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
Role: We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead Business Intelligence and Data Engineering initiatives for enterprise-scale clients. The role demands strong delivery ownership, deep understanding of modern BI platforms (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI), and the ability to manage complex, data-driven programs with multiple stakeholders. You will act as the single point of accountability for planning, execution, risk management, and client satisfaction across high-impact analytics transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance & Planning: Own end-to-end project planning including scope definition, timelines, dependency mapping, RAID logs, and change control across multiple parallel BI and data engineering projects.
- Delivery & Execution Management: Drive sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives while ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum best practices and contractual SLAs.
- Resource & Capacity Management: Plan and optimize utilization of BI developers, data engineers, QA, and support resources while proactively addressing skill gaps, dependencies, and burnout risks.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership, translating technical delivery plans into business outcomes, milestones, and value realization.
- Technical Oversight: Provide functional-technical guidance by understanding data models, ETL pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and BI visualization layers to identify risks, estimate effort, and unblock teams.
- Risk, Issue & Escalation Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, drive mitigation plans, and lead executive-level escalations when required.
- Financial & Commercial Management: Track project budgets, revenue recognition, forecasting, and change requests to ensure margin protection and financial governance.

- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Definition of Done, coding standards, documentation, and data governance/security policies.
- Reporting & Communication: Maintain executive dashboards, project status reports, and KPIs to provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in Project / Program Management with strong exposure to BI, Data Warehousing, Analytics, or Data Engineering programs.
- Hands-on understanding of BI platforms such as Qlik Sense/View, Tableau, or Power BI, along with solid knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and cloud data ecosystems.
- Proven expertise in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success in delivering large, complex, multi-million-dollar analytics or data transformation projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
