Job Summary
CorroHealth is seeking skilled Healthcare Professionals for the Prior Authorization Voice Process role. The candidate will be responsible for handling outbound and inbound calls with insurance payers to obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines and reducing claim denials.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage voice-based interactions with insurance companies to secure prior authorizations for medical services, procedures, and medications
- Review medical documentation, physician notes, and clinical records to determine authorization requirements
- Verify patient eligibility, coverage, and benefits with payers
- Accurately document authorization status, reference numbers, and payer responses in internal systems
- Communicate authorization outcomes to internal teams, physicians, and healthcare providers
- Follow up on pending authorizations and escalate complex cases when required
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA compliance, payer policies, and client SLAs
- Maintain high quality, productivity, and accuracy standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- In-depth understanding of Prior Authorization workflows in US Healthcare
- Familiarity with insurance portals, payer guidelines, and medical terminology
- Experience in voice process with US insurance companies (mandatory/durable preferred)
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes (preferred)
- Ability to multitask, document accurately, and manage follow-ups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in US Healthcare RCM
- Hands-on exposure to EHR/EMR systems
- Specialties like Radiology, Oncology, Cardiology, or Surgical Prior Authorization (added advantage)
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline
- Life Sciences / Healthcare background preferred
