Job Title: SQL Developer

Location: Onsite Hyderabad, India

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and implement indexing strategies across key database tables.
• Optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
• Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor database health using tools like SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, Query Store, and third-party performance monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with application developers to review data access patterns and improve ORM efficiency (e.g., Entity Framework).
• Conduct regular performance tuning reviews and provide recommendations.
• Design and implement database maintenance plans (backups, indexing, statistics updates, etc.).
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database design and optimization strategies.
• Ensure database security, integrity, and availability in production environments.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server (2016+ preferred) with a strong focus on performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong understanding of database indexing, normalization, and denormalization strategies.
• Experience in optimizing large and complex stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools for SQL Server performance.
• Familiarity with .NET-based applications and ORM frameworks like Entity Framework.
• Experience in scaling SaaS applications is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Azure SQL Database or other cloud-based databases.
• Exposure to NoSQL or hybrid database architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices related to DB changes.
