Resident Medical Officer (Nagpur)

ROLES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be Punctual and mark your attendance daily by using the bio matrix attendance system.
- To ensure that you take a proper handover from the previous duty doctor for all the patients in the ICUs.
- To write detailed notes for all the patients while taking charge of the shift.
- To categorized ICU patients as critically unstable, critical and stable.
- To write at least 2 hourly updates (brief notes) for critically unstable patients and 4 hourly for the other categories.
- To ensure that one of the doctors must be on the central monitoring console/ICU station. In no case should both the doctors retire in duty doctor room.
- To be responsible to coordinate or update the admitting consultant/unit for any change in clinical status or medical plan of the patient concerned.
- To ensure that pending investigations are seen by him and action taken accordingly.
- To maintain daily communication with the attendants of the patients along with the admitting consultant and if necessary medical manager should also be called.
- To communicate any change in clinical condition (worsening) of the patient to the attendance and documented.
- To be aware of the Plan of Care for a particular patient and it must be updated every day. It may need to be changed more than once daily if the condition of patient is changing (in consultation with admitting consultant).
- To be ACLS trained and should ensure participation in hospital training programs or CMEs. to adhere to the training policy of the hospital.
- To wait for next doctor on completion of your duty, and give a complete handover to the next duty doctor. In no case you should leave the ICU before the arrival of next duty doctor.
- You must get your last notes counter signed by the incoming duty doctor while giving handover.
- To co-ordinate referrals/ opinion and the referring consultant. In case of death must ensure that, death summary be prepared in time and ensure completeness of case record in all respects before sending to MRD.

Experience & Qualifications
M.B.B.S.
0-10 years in Casualty/Ward/ critical care of a hospital with adequate volume of workload
Any Other Specification:
- Handling of all Emergencies / ICU and ward patients under the guidance of respective Consultants.
- Ensure 100% updation and maintenance of Medical Record Documents of Emergency / Ward/ MLC/ OP/ IP patients
- Clear communication with patients, consultants and hospital staff
- Ensure compliance of ISO Standards and TAT
- Major negative patient feedback less than 2 years
- Reporting the Occupational & Environmental Issues to HOD.
