Job Description

Job Title: SAP ARIBA Consultant -

ROLE - Cutover Manager/LEAD

Relevant Experience (in Yrs) - 6-8 yrs


Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Leadership in SAP S4 greenfield implementation experience
  • Good working knowledge of leading SAP change management
  • Good working knowledge of hybrid agile processes, especially sprint framework
  • Previous experience of working with Global teams with various stakeholders and multiple delivery partners. Develops detailed cut-over checklist and project plan.
  • Planning and execution: Leading the cutover process, including planning, dry runs, and reporting
  • Stakeholder management: Engaging with business and stakeholders to negotiate and agree on key decisions, and ensuring all stakeholders are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Risk management: Identifying and managing potential risks and dependencies, and developing mitigation strategies
  • Testing: Ensuring thorough testing and validation processes before, during, and after the cutover
  • Communication: Facilitating communication and providing status updates to project leadership and stakeholders
  • Documentation: Documenting the cutover plan for each application
  • Resource planning: Planning the physical resources required for cutover activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience in cutover over activities for SAP implementation for at least 1 or 2 global implementations.
  • Develop detailed cutover checklist and project plan incorporating both technical and operations or business tasks.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the Cutover Project Plan as per the cutover standards.
  • Responsible for detailed project management of the cutover and conversion deliverables to the new system, resolving discrepancies or
  • process issues related to cutover.
  • Responsible for ensuring successful planning and execution of integrated release cutover activities and associated system outages.
  • Plans the resources, human and physical required for cut-over activities.
  • Develops the communication and escalation plan. (policies, procedures, downtime processes etc
  • Provides Cutover status reporting to the project leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensures entry into and exit out of cutover stage gates are met including the final Go/No-Go meetings.
  • Acts as the final point of escalation for all Cut-over issues, proactively bringing about appropriate interventions when the Cutover
  • may be jeopardized.
  • Leads cutover activities for Pre-Go-Live, Go-Live and Post Go-Live.
  • Works closely with the work streams to document the cutover plan for each boundary system application.
  • Develops back out / contingency plans for Cutover.
  • Coordinates requirements for Go Live including staffing and overall logistics.
  • Develop the Global Template and Local teams, to execute the Cutover.
  • Responsible for to updating the template for upcoming/future cutovers during the global implementation of the new systems.
  • Coordinate with the project managers for testing, data migration, IT system cutover and legacy business process transition.
  • Provides cut-over status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders involved in coordination of legacy shut down activities prior to application activation
  • Works closely with the workgroups to document the cut-over plan for each application
  • Single point of contact for coordinating all release planning activities with workstream/ sub-workstream leads
  • Governance structure, stand-up, planning, and execution

  • Completed university degree
  • Ideally, the candidate would have experience with SAP implementation go-live experience.
  • Previous experienced within a standalone Cutover Manager capacity on large SAP Programs
  • Minimum 15+ years of SAP Experience
  • Minimum 3+ year of SAP S4 HANA implementation experience, cutover planning on large rollouts
  • Integration experience with SaaS solutions Ariba, BTP, Solution, BODS and 3rd party integrations
  • SAP CTS, CHARM, Transport Management Strategy, Release planning with cutover activities aligned
  • Strong and proven understanding of SAP landscape Architecture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with effective listening skills
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a busy environment
  • Please list 5 NICE TO HAVE but not mandatory skills and experience for this requirement
  • Knowledge of SAP functional areas FI, EWM, OTC, LOG, and other aeras
  • Experience in aero / process manufacturing industry would be an added advantage
  • Worked extensively with Customer facing implementation projects and in hybrid teams on impl.
