Job Description
We are looking for an Mechanical (HVAC Design) Engineer to join our Hydrocarbon Business Unit. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in electrical design, including basic and detailed engineering, and a proven track record of working on industrial projects within an EPC environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10~15 years of experience in HVAC System Design engineering or a related field.
- Location : Navi Mumbai (Preference)
Specialization: Candidate should have networking experience in HVAC design engineering field (Industrial Plants)
Skills: AutoCAD, Pipenet, review, BLUE BEAM 3D:Naviswork, Design: HVAC, Sprinkler, Hydrant, Foam, Gas suppression, Preparation of bill of material, specification, datasheet, Code: BIS, NBC, NFPA, FM GLOBAL, OISD,
Key Responsibilities:
A) Air conditioning system:
- Calculations: Heat load calculations using Carrier E 20, Hourly load profile, HEVACOMP Static pressure calculations, Pump Head calculations, Air conditioning System selection, development of scheme, BOQ and cost estimation, HVAC Input/Output data and analysis of data.
- Listing out input data /requirement for carrying out Heat Load calculations, Design, and development.
- Applications: MCC Room, Control Room, UPS/Batter room, ADMIN Block, Technical Buildings, Laboratory, Industrial projects, Chemical Plants, Petrochemical Plants.
- Awareness with Indian codes and international codes and standards.
- Awareness of type of Air conditioning system: DX Type, VRF Type, Chillers, their capacities, sizes, selection criteria, connected load, civil load data, operational and maintenance space requirement, cost data.
- Awareness of different types of Refrigeration plant, types of different refrigerants, availability, and cost estimation.
- Development of drawings, BOQ, Cost estimation: Development of Air flow diagram /schematic drawings, layout drawings (Plan, Section), Plant Room layout drawings (PAC, Chilled water plant), Chilled water and cooling water flow diagrams/P&ID, Piping layout, BOQ, Cost estimation, clash detection with regard to other services, Structural members , review of integrated services layout.
- Enquiry, TBA: Preparation of enquiry document, with Project scope, technical specifications, Data sheets, Price schedule.
- Review, analysis of offers, technical tabulation of offers and sending queries to bidders and receipt of revised offers, preparing recommendations.
- KOM with selected Vendor, Drawing and document review, Integration of comments of all applicable disciplines, coordinate with Civil for equipment foundation drawings, wall/slab cut-out drawings
- Review of civil /structural drawings before release for construction for HVAC part, coordination with Vendor for approval of drawings and documents and changes in BOQ /project scope if any.
B) Ventilation system:
- Air quantity calculations using Dry Ventilation System and Air Washer system
- Fan /Airwasher selection types of fans including size, Load list, civil load data, utility requirement, cost estimate.
- Candidate to review and guide a team of 6 engineers working on multiple projects.
C) Project Management:
- Understanding of MS Project schedule, critical path, preparation of drawing and document list pertaining to HVAC system
- Participate in design review /project review meetings (for multiple projects) and support in meeting project requirement
- Support in Cost and time control
- Development of drawings, BOQ, Cost estimation: Development of Duct layout drawings (Plan, Section), Air flow /schematic diagrams, BOQ, Cost estimation, clash detection with regard to other services, Structural members, review of integrated services layout
- Review of civil /structural drawings before release for construction (for HVAC part), coordination with Vendor for approval of drawings and documents and changes if any.
