 Finance System Specialist

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

1. Automation Transformation Initiatives
- Lead, design, and execute automation projects within the finance function.

2. Understanding of latest tools/applications available in market which suits finance requirement
- Evaluate business needs and recommend suitable automation/tech solutions
- Drive continuous improvement for scalability, speed, and accuracy

3. Process Improvement Governance
- Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs for finance processes.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Align with IT team on aspects including VAPT, system stress testing, compliance checks.

4. Techno-Functional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, CGS, and Finance leadership for system enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Lead UAT, testing cycles, and implementation activities.

5. BRD Ownership
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new projects or enhancements.
- Create detailed BRDs with process flows, use cases, functional needs, and acceptance criteria.
- Align stakeholders and ensure BRD sign-off.
- Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure BRD adherence during development.

6. Vendor Execution Management
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
- Oversee vendor deliverables, timeline adherence, and quality controls.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, performance, and project compatibility.
- Facilitate system demos, POCs, testing, and deployment with vendor teams.
- Coordinate with cyber security team to ensure compliance with security, data protection, and IT governance standards.

7. Tools ERPs Understanding
- NetSuite
- Project Suite
- SAP
- Oracle Fusion

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HODs, IT, CGS, and cybersecurity for smooth execution of transformation initiatives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
- Align business and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.

9. Execution, Planning Reporting
- Drive end-to-end project execution from planning, documentation, testing, and golive.
- Create reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership.
- Support decision-making through evaluations and analytical recommendations.

Relevant experience and skills:

  • Strong finance background (MBA Finance, CA Inter)
  • Experience in finance transformation, automation, and ERP functional roles
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Excellent documentation skills (BRDs, SOPs, process flows)
