Job Description
- Analyze business and functional requirements for Salesforce applications.
- Design and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for:
- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities)
- Custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, approval processes
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, System, Integration, and UAT testing.
- Validate Salesforce features including:
- Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Cases
- Email to Case, Assignment Rules, Escalations
- Execute API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Perform data validation using SOQL/SOSL, Data Loader, and Workbench.
- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA / Azure DevOps and ensure closure.
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce automation frameworks.
- Automate UI and regression test cases using tools such as:
- Provar / Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
- Automate API validations using Postman / REST Assured.
- Identify areas suitable for automation and improve overall test coverage.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Participate in regression test execution for Salesforce releases.
- Work closely with Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Business Analysts.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support release readiness and production deployment validation.
- Ensure QA best practices and Salesforce testing standards are followed.
- Strong hands on experience in Salesforce testing (Manual + Automation) [career.ran...fotech.com] , [hirist.tech]
- Good functional understanding of:
- Salesforce objects, workflows, flows, approval processes
- Validation rules, profiles, permission sets
- Proficiency in SOQL/SOSL for data validation [reflection...global.com]
- Automation tools: Provar / Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
- API Testing: Postman / REST Assured
- Test Management: JIRA, Zephyr, Xray, TestRail
- CI/CD exposure: Jenkins / Azure DevOps / Git
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Defect Lifecycle
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
- Good understanding of QA metrics, defect management, and release cycles
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
