Notice Period: Immediate to 20 Days

We are seeking a handson Power BI Technical Lead (Lead Analyst) who combines strong technical expertise with delivery ownership and stakeholder engagement. This is a deliveryfocused role, where you will actively develop Power BI solutions, lead BI workstreams of 3-5 partners, mentor developers, and ensure predictable, highquality outcomes within established architectural standards.
This is not a leadonly role. Active handson development is a core expectation.
Role Responsibilities
Delivery & Technical Leadership
. Lead endtoend delivery of Power BI Analytics Dashboards, Paginated Reports, semantic models, and datasets
. Own technical execution for assigned BI workstreams of report groups with 3-5 partners, ensuring quality, performance, and ontime delivery
. Drive requirement clarification sessions, design workshops, and solution discussions with business stakeholders
. Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implement scalable Power BI solutions
. Support BI migration initiatives including report inventory analysis, rationalization, modernization, and conversion planning
. Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs; proactively propose and implement mitigation strategies
Power BI Development & Engineering
. Design and develop Power BI dashboards and Paginated Reports following enterprise best practices
. Build optimized DAX measures and calculations with strong focus on performance and usability
. Develop and optimize Power Query transformations
. Implement RowLevel Security (RLS), access controls, and dataset governance standards
. Perform performance tuning across models, visuals, datasets, and queries
. Collaborate with data engineering teams on SQL optimization, ETL dependencies, and data readiness
Governance, Quality & DevOps
. Enforce BI development standards, naming conventions, documentation, and version control practices
. Support and implement CI/CD and deployment pipelines for Power BI (Azure DevOps or similar)
. Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to quality, security, and performance standards
. Ensure all solutions comply with data governance, security, and compliance requirements
Team Enablement & Stakeholder Engagement
. Mentor and guide BI developers on Power BI best practices, DAX optimization, and data modeling
. Act as a technical point of contact for stakeholders within assigned delivery scope
. Present solution approaches, insights, and progress updates to business and account leadership
. Contribute to retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives within the BI practice
Required Skills & Experience
. 79 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics
. Strong handson expertise in Power BI, including: Advanced data modeling (star / snowflake schemas) DAX development and performance tuning Power Query transformations RowLevel Security (RLS)
. Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports (SSRS / Report Builder)
. Strong SQL skills with solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts
. Experience leading small BI teams or delivery streams in a project or consulting environment
. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and data governance practices
. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with business and technical stakeholders
. Agile / Scrum SDLC experience

. Experience in reporting modernization or BI migration programs
. Experience working in multistakeholder or distributed delivery environments
. Awareness of automation, monitoring, or performance management approaches in BI platforms
