Role: Security Analyst
Location: India
Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to security threats, as well as improving security operations through automation and advanced technologies. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on technical expertise, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organizations environment.
- Perform security incident analysis and investigation, including root cause analysis and documentation of findings.
- Triage security alerts and incidents, prioritize based on severity, and ensure timely response and resolution.
- Manage and maintain Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, ensuring optimal performance and coverage.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline manual security operations and improve efficiency.
- Integrate security tools and workflows using scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and AI/ML techniques where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal teams and follow up with stakeholders to ensure incidents are resolved and properly closed.
- Create and maintain incident response playbooks, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor emerging threats and recommend improvements to enhance the organizations security posture.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in threat hunting, incident response, and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with EDR platforms and security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for automation and integration tasks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to cybersecurity is a plus.
- Solid understanding of network security, endpoint security, and common attack vectors with experience in cloud security tools/framework
- Experience with incident triage, case management, and stakeholder communication.
