Job Description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead initiatives that streamline deployment processes, enhance automation, and fine-tune instrumentation across our cloud infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the long-term stability, scalability, and efficiency of our services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and hands-on executor, capable of driving collaboration between Development, QA, and Operations, while optimizing our build and deployment environments using AWS and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- CI/CD Strategy & Execution
- Architect and optimize CI pipelines in TeamCity, ensuring fast, reliable builds
- Design and manage CD workflows in Octopus Deploy, enabling zero-downtime deployments
- Define and enforce best practices for versioning, artifact management, and release governance
- AWS Infrastructure Leadership
- Lead the design and provisioning of cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform
- Optimize usage of AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Load balancing, SQS, SNS, RDS, Route53
- Implement high-availability, fault-tolerant architectures across environments
- Security & Compliance
- Define and implement security policies using IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and AWS Config
- Monitoring & Reliability
- Maintain observability tools using CloudWatch, Grafana, NewRelic, and custom dashboards
- Monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance.
- Drive incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure and deployment issues
- Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with software architects and product teams to align infrastructure with business goals
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve deployment velocity and system reliability
- Architect-level understanding of CI/CD strategy, including multi-stage release pipelines
- Ownership of end-to-end deployment strategy and incident response
- Experience developing automation frameworks and integrating tooling across environments
- Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and drive DevOps culture across departments
