Job Description: Manipal Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operation Theatre Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The Operation Theatre Staff Nurse will work collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a smooth and efficient operating room environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures by providing support, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed and patient care provided.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Provide postoperative care and support to patients as they recover from anesthesia.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license or registration to practice as a nurse.
- Experience in the operating theatre or critical care settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
