Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation of audit findings, reports, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Review medical records, including electronic health records (EHRs), to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct quality audits on surgical procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 3-8 years of experience as a coder/auditor specializing in surgery or cardiology/cardiovascular procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS Level II codes; certification preferred (e.g., CRC).
- Cardiovascular Coding (CVT): Expertise in surgical procedures of the heart, valves, and great vessels (CPT 3301037***).
- 1-6 Series Proficiency: Mastery of the entire surgery section of CPT, covering Integumentary (1), Musculoskeletal (2), Respiratory/Cardio (3), Digestive (4), Urinary/Male/Female (5), and Endocrine/Nervous (6) systems.
- Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR): Specific ability to audit complex catheterization and vascular procedures often bundled with CV surgery.
- Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) Logic: Deep understanding of "with" vs. "without" heart-lung machine documentation requirements for paired cardiac codes. Naukri.com +3

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
