Java Development Lead - G - Pan India @ Infosys

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, object-oriented design, and modern backend frameworks, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with databases and third-party services
• Participate in architecture and design discussions
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams
• Contribute to performance tuning, security, and scalability improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services
• Knowledge of Hibernate / JPA
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts

Tools & Platforms

• Build tools: Maven / Gradle
• Application servers: Tomcat / Jetty
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (good to have)
• Cloud exposure: AWS / Azure / GCP (optional but preferred)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Good to Have

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
