Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Orthopedics Specific Responsibilities

Care of patients with Musculo skeletal problems like;

• Fractures
• Arthritis
• Osteoporosis
• Joint replacements
• Arthroplasty
• Road Traffic Accidents
• Degenerative bone diseases

• Monitoring neurovascular status, performing external fixation care, casting and continuous motion therapy.
• Administering treatments and medications, as well as post-operation care.
• Helping patients with therapy and assistance for faster recuperation.
• Provide home care and assist patients with personal tasks sometimes.
• Prepare a pain management schedule for patients based on doctors prescriptions to prevent patients suffering from pain.
• Educate patients on steps to take to manage pain and how to avoid post-surgical infections.
• Perform wound dressing on patients with infections.
• Help patients recover physical & functional abilities.
• Prepare the patients for radiology investigations.
• Prepare the patient for Ortho-surgeries.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Care of Invasive lines.
• Care of Drains & tubes.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Appropriate qualification and statutory nursing registration in the state GNM/BSC/MSC
2. Valid BLS-ACLS provider certificate.
3. At least 1 year of clinical experience with specialty module training
