Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Manage endtoend MES project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, milestones, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Track progress against delivery plans and proactively address schedule, quality, or resource risks.
- Manage plant deployment activities, cutover planning, hypercare, and stabilization.
- Ensure delivery adherence to defined governance, quality standards, and change control processes.
Technical Coordination & Oversight
- Provide technical coordination and oversight for MES solutions based on GE Vernova Plant Applications.
- Review highlevel solution designs, configurations, and integration approaches defined by architects and tech leads.
- Ensure functional coverage across key Plant Apps modules:
- Production & WIP Tracking
- OEE / Efficiency / Downtime
- Quality & SPC
- Reporting & Dashboards
- Support technical decisionmaking related to performance, scalability, and reliability.
Integration & IT/OT Collaboration
- Coordinate MES integrations with:
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor)
- PLC/SCADA systems and shopfloor automation
- Historians (GE Proficy, PI)
- Act as a liaison between IT, OT, automation, and thirdparty vendors.
- Ensure smooth data flow, interface testing, and production readiness.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary project contact for business stakeholders, plant users, and delivery teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to management and steering committees.
- Convert manufacturing and operational requirements into actionable delivery plans.
- Support workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and golive readiness discussions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate:
- MES consultants
- Developers / configuration specialists
- QA and support teams
- Guide teams on delivery priorities, task sequencing, and dependency resolution.
- Encourage adherence to MES best practices and documentation standards.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee production support transitions and L3 escalation coordination when required.
- Identify improvement opportunities in MES usage, reporting, and system performance.
- Support adoption of best practices in digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
MES & Manufacturing Experience
- 68 years of experience in MES / Manufacturing IT, including GE Vernova Plant Applications.
- Solid understanding of:
- Manufacturing operations
- Production KPIs (OEE, Yield, Downtime, Throughput)
- Experience delivering MES solutions in discrete or process manufacturing plants.
Technical Knowledge (Working Level)
- Good working knowledge of:
- GE Plant Applications configuration and modules
- SQL Server / Oracle databases
- MES integrations and data flows
- Familiarity with:
- Industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet)
- ERPMES integration concepts
Project Management Skills
- Proven ability to manage medium to large MES projects or multiplant deployments.
- Strong skills in:
- Planning & tracking
- Risk & issue management
- Stakeholder communication
- Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in fastpaced manufacturing environments.
- Calm, structured approach to problemsolving and escalations.
Good to Have
- Exposure to:
- Cloud or hybrid MES deployments
- Industry 4.0, IIoT, Digital Manufacturing initiatives
- Experience with additional MES platforms (Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FTPC, DELMIA Apriso).
- Project or delivery certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile / SAFe
