Role :
Looking for passionate engineers who are hands on, grounded, opinionated and passionate about building things using technology. The team will self-organize without oversight to own and deliver solutions end to end. You will work in short sprints to deliver working software
Responsibilities
- Perform build & implementation, functional, integration and unit/performance testing, test automation
- Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met as part of projects delivery
- Work on complex, custom-designed, scalable, multi-tiered software development projects
- Work closely with clients (commercial & social enterprises, start ups), both Business and Technical staff members
- Be responsible for the quality of software and resolving any issues regards the solution
- Think through hard problems, not limited to technology and work with a team to realise and implement solutions
- Learn something new everyday
- You can expect to work in small (2-5 member), agile teams. You will be working very closely with the customers, iteratively developing and evolving the solution
- Adhere to Agile development methodologies and best practices
Technical / process skills:
- Development and delivery experience in any of the backend & frontend programming languages (J2EE And Angular/React)
- Passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
- Great design and solutioning skills (OO & Functional)
- Experience including analysis, design, coding and implementation of large scale custom built object- oriented applications
- Understanding of code refactoring and optimisation issues
- Understanding of Virtualisation & DevOps. Experience with Ansible, Chef, Docker preferable
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to different situations
- Ability to handle ambiguity on a day to day basis
- Should have strong hands-on of Microservices and associated design patterns
- Should have strong hands-on knowledge of using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong hands on experience in OOAD, Multi-threaded application development, design and implementation of web applications, data structures and design patterns.
- Experience in working with globally distributed teams following Agile methodology and Scrum
- Experience in working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
Good to have:
- Strong working experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Experience in working with modern CI/CD tools and related ecosystem of applications - uDeploy, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven etc
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as:
- GitHub Copilot or similar tools for faster development and code reviews
- AI-assisted unit test generation, refactoring suggestions, and documentation
Soft skills:
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to gather business requirements and interface with customer teams as required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player
