Role: Linux Administrator
Job Description:-
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux Administrator to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing our Linux-based server environment. You will ensure high availability and performance of critical applications by monitoring system health, automating tasks through scripting, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. The ideal candidate thrives in a command-line environment and is passionate about system optimization and automation.
Key Responsibilities:-
- System Administration: Install and configure of most common Linux flavors i.e. RHEL, Ubuntu and Amazon Linux. In depth understanding of physical servers and ability to configure and manage SAN boot disks.
- User & LVM Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls. Expertise in logical volume manager, filesystem and RAW device management.
- Compliance and Security: Implementing security base line. Apply OS/security patches. Maintain periodic patching compliance.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and execute shell scripts / Ansible playbooks to automate repetitive administrative tasks, log analysis, and housekeeping.
- Performance & Monitoring: Understanding of OS, Kernel, network and disk performance is must. Monitoring system performance CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network usage using tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to mitigate active system problems by understanding their nature and implementing resolution steps. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime. Need to work on escalated issues and high priority tickets and preparing RCAs
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Collaboration: Work with developers and DevOps engineers to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).

Qualification: B.Tech/BE/ME/M.Tech/MCA
Location: Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai
- Experience: 6+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar systems engineering role.
- Linux Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of Linux internals and command-line interface (CLI).
- Scripting: Proficient in Bash scripting; experience with Ansible is a plus.
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP and load balancing.
- Tools: Experience withconfiguration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, or Chef.
- Virtualization/Containers: Familiarity with VMware, KVM, or Docker/Kubernetes.
