Job Description
We are looking for a detailoriented Spare Parts Documentation Engineer to develop, maintain, and manage spare part documentation for marine equipment. The role involves identifying spare parts, creating material numbers, maintaining Bills of Materials (BoM), preparing technical illustrations, and supporting maintenance planning through work cards. The successful candidate will work across systems such as Teamcenter, SAP, and Adobe Illustrator.
Role & responsibilities
- Identify and document spare parts for marine auxiliary equipment.
- Create and maintain material numbers and Bills of Materials (BoM) in Teamcenter, linking related technical drawings.
- Prepare and update spare part illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
- Manage spare part sections and structures within Service & Spare Parts Information Management Tool.
- Create maintenance work cards with highlevel task descriptions.
- Transfer finalized projects to SAP Code Resolution using Service & Spare Parts Information Management Editor Tool.
Collaborate with engineering, service, and SAP teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Tools & Systems Used:
- Teamcenter BoM management and document linkage.
- Adobe Illustrator Technical illustrations and exploded views.
- Spare Parts Structure & Documentation Management Tools Management of spare part sections and documentation.
- SAP Project transfer and code resolution.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and marine systems.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering data.
- Understanding of spare part structures and maintenance concepts.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in crossfunctional teams.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
