IORIG Backend Test Engineer (Automation)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IORIG Backend Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation and backend/API testing to support enterprisescale banking applications. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in designing automation frameworks, testing distributed systems, and working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for backend systems.
• Perform API, Kafka, WebSocket, and REST API testing to validate data accuracy and system integrations.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks using industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams within Agile/Scaled Agile projects.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software testing with strong focus on test automation.
• Handson experience with Selenium (Java), Cucumber (BDD).
• Proficiency in Postman, REST Assured, and backend/API testing.
• Experience with Kafka, WebSocket, and distributed eventdriven systems.
• Strong knowledge of Test Framework Design (DataDriven, Library Architecture, reusable utilities).
• Experience with IntelliJ, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot.
• Working experience in AWS services including:
• S3
• DynamoDB
• Redis Cache
• Secret Manager
• PMS

Domain & Behavioral Skills

• Strong experience in Banking and Financial Services domain.
