Job Description
The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Googles global network, web-scale data centers and software infrastructure. The role: As a Workspace Engineer, you will deliver paid professional services engagements that provide technical hands on delivery and guidance to Google customers deploying and adopting Google Workspace. You will act as a subject matter expert and thought leader for both customers and Google Workspace partners, advising on reference architectures and on best practices for application design, scalability and supportability, and will help large organizations modernize their approach to collaboration and productivity by deploying Workspace and integrating it with other Enterprise business tools. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and constantly drive excellence in our products.
Responsibilities: Work with customers to design technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations and help in deploying Google Workspace. Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers. Implement and/or Advise customer leadership teams in deploying and managing Google Workspace services. Liaise with the Engineering and Product teams to commercialize solutions with partners and customers. Work with Googles partners to develop their capabilities in managing Workspace services for their customers. Ski ls / Experience: Professional Workspace Administrator certification. Experience with on-premise and cloud based mail delivery, routing, and filtering technologies Experience in mobile device management and relevant 3rd party integrations. Experience with cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM), SSO, OAuth and 2-step verification. Experience in deploying workspace for enterprise customer having large number of users Experience with IT security practices such as identity and access management, Security and data protection, encryption, certificate and key management. Experience in scripting in low code / no code solutions such as appscript / appssheet Experience assessing and delivering solutions that meet regional compliance and regulatory requirements. Ability to communicate and influence cross-functional stakeholders and leadership. Ability to create assets and help deliver sessions to partner as part of bootcamps Ability to adapt best practices into reusable delivery methodologies and improve them based upon field experience. Sample Profile - Workspace Google Workspace Consultant with over 9 years of experience in infrastructure development for Google Workspace and cloud computing platforms. Expert in transitioning organizations from on-premise solutions to cloud-based deployments. Proficient in using tools like CloudMigrator and CloudM Manage for seamless data migration. Experienced in deploying and managing Chrome Enterprise devices across diverse environments. As Sr.Google Workspace Engineer, deployed small/medium organizations, large enterprises, government, and healthcare organizations to Google Workspace. Work with Change Management and CSMs, to ensure client success during and after the project. Point of contact for clients IT departments, working closely to understand legacy systems. Mail Routing,Networking, security, DLP, eDiscovery, and End Point Verification. Integrating and managing SSO applications with GWS. Certifications: Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification Google Workspace Deployment Engineer Chrome Enterprise and SMB Deployment Level 1&2 CloudM Migrate Google Advanced Sample Profile - Workspace Results-driven Google Workspace Administrator with extensive experience in managing and optimizing enterprise collaboration tools. Proficient in Google Admin Console, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft 365 Administration, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and automation scripting. Adept at enhancing productivity, security, and operational efficiency through innovative solutions and best practices. Strong troubleshooting skills and expertise in user management, policy enforcement, and security controls ensure seamless collaboration across teams. Passionate about leveraging automation and cloud technologies to drive efficiency and improve user experience. End-to-End Google Workspace & Admin Console Management Administered and optimized all Google services, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Groups, Sites, Vault, and Appsheet, while enforcing security policies, configuring SSO/SAML authentication, managing user provisioning and deprovisioning, auditing logs, implementing DLP policies, handling third-party integrations, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards. Managing user provisioning, email delivery, SSO, SMTP, security policies, and Google Admin Console configurations for enterprise clients. Managed Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure a secure authentication experience.
