Test Lead Enterprise SaaS Platforms (AWS Cloud)
Experience
7+ years overall testing experience, with strong majority in Public Cloud (AWS preferred)
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive quality engineering for enterprisegrade SaaS platforms built on AWS cloud and microservices architecture. This role is critical to ensuring carriergrade quality, scalability, security, and resiliency across Ericssons global SaaS offerings.
The Test Lead will be responsible for defining and executing test strategy, shiftleft quality practices, automation frameworks, and endtoend test governance, while working closely with product owners, architects, DevOps, and global delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Quality Engineering
- Drive shiftleft testing aligned to Agile and DevOps delivery models
- Implement and govern TestDriven Development (TDD) and Acceptance TestDriven Development (ATDD)
- Establish quality gates, test metrics, and riskbased testing aligned to Ericsson engineering standards
Functional & NonFunctional Testing
- Lead functional testing for microservices, APIs, UI, and integrations
- Own nonfunctional testing across:
- Performance, scalability, and reliability
- Security and compliance (enterprise & telecomgrade expectations)
- Resiliency, fault tolerance, and failover scenarios
- Ensure SaaS multitenancy, data isolation, and lifecycle workflows are thoroughly validated
AWS Cloud & Services Testing
- Plan and execute testing for AWS services including:
- AWS Lambda
- Amazon S3
- Amazon SQS & SNS
- Amazon DynamoDB
- Validate eventdriven, serverless, and asynchronous architectures
- Ensure testing of IAM roles, security policies, service limits, and cloud resilience patterns
API & Contract Testing
- Lead API automation and contract testing for microservices ecosystems
- Ensure backward compatibility through consumerdriven contract testing
- Validate OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, schemas, and integration dependencies
Automation & CI/CD Enablement
- Design and govern automation frameworks for SaaS platforms
- Strong handson automation expertise using:
- Pytest (preferred)
- Playwright (preferred)
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous testing and continuous delivery
- Drive automation KPIs and improve test efficiency across releases
MustHave Skills
- 7+ years of testing experience with strong focus on AWSbased SaaS applications
- Proven Test Lead experience in cloudnative and microservices environments
- Deep understanding of shiftleft testing, TDD, and ATDD
- Strong experience in functional and nonfunctional testing
- Handson testing of AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB)
- Strong API and contract testing expertise
- Excellent test automation skills (Pytest & Playwright preferred)
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps at scale
- Majority of experience in Public Cloud domain
GoodtoHave Skills
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring (CloudWatch, logging, tracing)
- Exposure to enterprise or telecom SaaS platforms
- Experience in largescale modernization or cloud migration programs
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Strong team leadership and coaching capabilities
- Experience managing global onshoreoffshore delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder management with product, architecture, DevOps, and enterprise customers
- Ability to communicate quality risks, readiness, and release decisions to senior leadership
- Champion a strong qualityengineering mindset within Ericsson delivery teams
Certifications
- AWS Certification (or any Public Cloud certification) with focus on:
- Cloud / DevOps / integrations
- Testing certification (ISTQB or equivalent)
