We are looking for a Legal professional with strong experience in litigation and arbitration to support our business operations. The role will be responsible for handling court matters, statutory cases, government disputes, legal notices, and coordination with external counsels.
Roles and Responsibilities :- Manage civil, commercial, labor, and regulatory litigation matters.
- Handle government litigation matters involving departments, authorities, and public sector bodies.
- Draft and review legal notices, replies, petitions, affidavits, and agreements.
- Coordinate with external advocates, counsels, and legal consultants.
- Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and government authorities through counsel.
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on risk mitigation and compliance matters.
- Maintain case records, legal MIS, and status reports for management.
- Support contract management and dispute resolution matters.
Candidate Profile
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- 712 years of relevant experience in litigation and arbitration.
- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, labor laws, civil laws, and regulatory matters.
- Good drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Background
1. Manufacturing, Engineering, Infrastructure, Steel, Railways, Heavy Industry.
2. Candidates currently based in Kolkata or candidates whose hometown is Kolkata and are looking to relocate back to Kolkata will be preferred.
