Walk-in || Field Support Engineer || Field Role @ Indus Towers

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of telecom tower sites to ensure maximum uptime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical, electronic, and telecom systems at sites.
• Monitor energy usage and implement efficiency measures to reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all site activities.
• Supervise partner technicians and validate the quality of their work.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, site performance, and fault reports.
• Coordinate with the Area Operations Manager for escalations and reporting.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades at tower sites.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and restore services within defined SLAs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Experience: 24 years in telecom infrastructure operations & maintenance, preferably with tower site exposure.

• Technical Skills:
• Operations & Maintenance of telecom tower sites
• Electrical systems and power management
• Preventive & corrective maintenance
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Energy efficiency practices
• Familiarity with remote monitoring tools/software
• Certifications: Safety compliance certifications (electrical safety, OHS standards) preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication, team collaboration, and vendor/technician supervision.
• Work Environment: Willingness to travel to tower sites, ability to work in outdoor conditions, and flexibility for emergency call-outs.
