Job Description
Role: IBM ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)
Exp range: 4-8 years
Location : Chennai
Must-Have
- Develop complex business requirements into clear, optimized, and reusable rule artifacts
- Deploy and configure Decision Center and RES servers.
- Strong expertise in Java / J2EE, related backend technologies.
- Redeploy rulesets and event artifacts as changes occur and track rule execution activities.
- Integrate ODM with enterprise systems using Java, REST/SOAP, SOA, or middleware technologies.
- Create automated tests for rules using Decision Validation Services or custom frameworks.
- Conduct performance tuning to optimize rule execution server performance and scalability.
- Ensure rules follow best practices, governance, versioning and testing standards.
- Work with business users, BAs, SMEs to refine decision logic and translate business rules into executable ODM rules.
- Experience in creating complex decision tables, action rules, decision trees.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Good-to-Have
- Manage user roles, repositories and synchronization between Decision Center and Rule Designer.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, architectural discussions, and sprint planning.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (data, business, architecture)
Background
Engineering Graduate/Post-Graduate in any discipline (Computer Science Preferred) or MCA with a good background of softwaredevelopment/technical architecture
