Job Description
Role: DGM AGM Procurement
Location: Gurugram HR
Education: BE/ Dip in Civil Engineering or Bachelors + SCM/MBA related
Experience: 15+ years
Role Objective: You will be leading and managing the End- to End Project Consumable of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, Finishing Good and Services and Non-Project Consumable in Residential and Commercial Project Construction Engineering. Domain expertise specifically within the real Estate Development or Construction industry preferred
Job Role and Responsibilities:
1. Material Knowledge: Strong familiarity with construction materials like Steel, Cement, RMC, AAC Blocks, Al Formwork system, uPVC / Al doors & windows, Marbles, Granites, Tiles, Wooden Doors & hardware, Sanitary Ware, Plumbing & Electrical fixtures, Cables & wires, HVAC, DG sets, Transformers, electrical panels, Modular Kitchens, Interior & furnishing items
2. Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and maintain a reliable network of suppliers for building materials (Raw material, civil, MEP, finishing & furnishing materials).
3. Negotiation Lead negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost savings without compromising on quality
4. Inventory & Material Management: Monitor inventory levels and project requirements to prevent shortages or excess stock, ensuring uninterrupted site progress.
5. ERP & Documentation: Process purchase orders (POs), review invoices for payment processing, and maintain accurate records in ERP
6. Quality Control & Compliance: Coordinate with site engineers to confirm materials meet quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
7. Cost Control & Analysis: Prepare comparative statements, track purchase budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk buying or alternative sourcing.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, and Accounts departments to align procurement with project timelines.
9. Negotiation: Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
10. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
11. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to conduct market research and cost-benefit analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Proven experience in a senior purchase role within a top-tier real estate developer.
2. Procurement of Project and Non-Project Procurements of all Consumables in Real Estate Developments.
3. To work as a Center point of Contact for projects running in North India for Procurement, Inventory Control, Logistics and SCM.
4. Plan, direct and execute the material availability against requisitions to ensure optimum disbursement of material available at Central Level.
5. Immediate joiner preferred.
6. Strong local vendor network.
7. Experience with sustainable/green building material procurement.
